Woman struck outside government building

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is investigating an incident where a woman was struck by a vehicle outside of the government administration building on Elgin Avenue in George Town.

According to police, a vehicle driving out of the government car park on Tuesday around 4.30pm hit a pedestrian.

The woman who was struck was taken to the hospital complaining of back injuries. She was released from the hospital later the same day.

There was no word of any charges being filed in the incident at press time Thursday.
