Conch season closes Tuesday, 30 April.
After this date, harvesting conch throughout Cayman waters is illegal. Conch season reopens on 1 November, 2013.
Anyone catching conch during the closed season between 1 May and 31 October is liable to a maximum fine of $500,000. It is also illegal to purchase or possess conch taken from Cayman jurisdictional waters during this period.
