Gracious thanks from Anna Evans’ children

Our Christmas was bright, with lots of food and presents, because of all you, the “Public,” who showed us love, like we were your family and friends, because so much of you cared and gave to us so generously. We will never forget. We laughed, we talked, but we also cried because it was the third Christmas without our precious mother, missing civil servant Anna Evans.

Our mother went to work and kissed us that morning Jan. 27, 2011. Then she just disappeared. We ask, why? We ask, how come no one cares to give us the answers we need so that we may heal and have peace? Our mother was our world, our rock.

We hurt so much, but we are keeping faith that whatever happened, accidentally or if anyone was involved in hurting her, we pray that God will fight for our mother with a vengeance and choose his punishment on how she was treated and how we have suffered.

We love you, Mom. Our loving memories of you will live in our hearts forever, and we know that God will soon bring justice for you, for no evil deed goes unpunished.

We also would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Guyton, and the staff of Kirk Market for allowing a drive to be held in our honor. We would like to thank Civil Service Association President James Watler and all his management council who assisted and gave to us in a drive at the Government Administration Building, and to all members of the civil service who gave so generously to us.

To all who gave and supported these events, thank you for showing the true spirit of giving and helping others. May God multiply his blessings to each one of you and your families this year for taking time to care and support us.

We, the children of Anna Evans, would like to sincerely thank Lisa Prendergast, who organized the very successful drives to encourage members of the public to give support to us during the Christmas season. Thank you so much, Ms Lisa, for supporting us during these last three difficult years. Words cannot express how we feel.

We also thank our cousin Shanna Bodden who has also supported us and has taken time to also care for us. Thank you, Shanna (Nanny). We say thank you for those who are still giving.

We also thank you, God, for all you have provided.

May God bestow his blessings to each and every one of you in the New Year.

Anna’s children: Christopher, Celena, Chelsea, Cody and Cruz, and their legal guardian Noreen Dixon and family
