Police this week charged the 74-year-old owner of a local property company with theft of cash allegedly stolen during a real estate transaction.
According to a statement released by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service on Thursday morning, Financial Crime Unit detectives charged the real estate broker on Wednesday with theft of $51,600.
Police did not name the man. He was granted bail to appear before Summary Court at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
