The annual Caymanian students’ reception was recently held at the London Office.

The event was co-hosted by Cayman Islands Government Representative in the UK, Jennifer Dilbert, and Education Minister, Alden McLaughlin.
Also attending, were: Leader of Government Business, Kurt Tibbetts; Cabinet Secretary, Orrett Connor; and Political Analyst to the LoGB, Barbara Conolly.
London Office staff present included: Mary Chandler-Allen, Kate Kandiah and Nadira Lord.
At the event, Mr. McLaughlin commended the students’ hard work and urged them to stay the course and do themselves, their families and the Islands proud.
In addition, Mr. Tibbetts spoke of the many glowing opportunities that lay ahead of the students.
According to Mrs. Dilbert, the event was well attended by students studying across the UK.
‘We are very happy to help our students catch up on things Caymanian while they are away at university. Each year, we try to give them a chance to actually get to meet old friends and make new connections,’ she said.
