Royal Cayman Islands Police are investigating a Sunday afternoon shooting in Bodden Town where a woman was struck in the arm.

Witnesses at the scene on Daffodil Avenue said the victim was outside her home hanging laundry when she was struck, possibly by a pellet from a BB gun or an air rifle.

The victim suffered bruising on her arm from the shot and was expected to recover fully. Police did not report any arrests in the incident as of press time Monday.
