Woody wants more

There were plenty of goals and
dramatic moments in the Premier League last weekend and that promises to
continue on Sunday.

The feature game between Tigers and
Elite at the TE McField Annex Sports Centre in George Town is at 7pm. It will
be taped for replay at the Aqua Beach Restaurant on Sunday evening. Bodden Town
meet Future Sporting Club in the earlier game at 5pm.

In West Bay at the Ed Bush Stadium
Scholars International face Roma at 5pm and at 7pm George Town take on East
End.

Elite lead the point standings with
13 points, Roma United are in second place with nine, George Town are next with
eight, Bodden Town and Tigers are on seven, East End have five, Scholars International
are on four and Future have two.

Top scorer from last weekend was
Theron Wood who hit a hat-trick in their 4-2 victory against East End. Woody
has been in sensational form this season and fully deserves being selected for
trials with semi-pro team Ashford Town in England, later this month along with
Mark Ebanks, Luigi Hernandez and Donald ‘Naddy’ Solomon Jr. Future are the
Premier League’s bottom club but they have played well so far but not got the
breaks. With his terrific speed and positional sense, Wood will seek to exploit
any defensive weaknesses.

Elite can’t stop scoring this
season so it will be a difficult game for Tigers who are struggling to find
their form. Elite’s Alex Belcher has hit a hatful, including five against Bodden
Town, but he is suspended after being harshly sent off last week against Roma.

Scholars are the reigning league
champions but their form hasn’t reflected that. Against a rejuvenated Roma they
need to find their rhythm and accuracy on goal to start picking up points.
George Town always have a well organised side but they too have been struggling
to find the net. Against newcomers East End they won’t find it easy but have
the extra talent and experience take three points.
