I was pleasantly surprised to read in the Letters to the Editor about memories of a family that lived on the island from 1966 to 1968.
Being the son of Mr. Doucet, former Interbank owner in the 70s, I also have a lot of good memories about the friendly people, school friends at Triple C School and all the good times.
I returned to Grand Cayman in 2005, 30 years later, and it was wonderful but what a change. Where are the mangroves and the tall pine trees in South Sound?
The major items on Seven Mile Beach in those days were the Beach Club and the Galleon Beach where we would go to the Saturday night dance with the Tornadoes. Great memories.
Hope to come back soon to say hello to all those who remember.
