Young members of the Bodden Town Seventh Day Adventist Church recently received a talk from the Head of the RCIPS Family Support Unit.
Inspector Angelique Howell spoke to the group about important issues affecting the community such as domestic violence and child abuse, states an RCIPS press release.
‘The Family Support Unit works very hard to make sure people know exactly what help is available to them when it comes to issues that affect families and friends,’ said Ms Howell. ‘As well as publicising the sources of advice and support available in the local media, we also like to make personal contact with the community so they know exactly who they can turn to if they need help or assistance. In addition, we are always particularly happy to speak with our youth; they are after all our future.’
