Students escaped injury Tuesday afternoon 7 Oct. after their school bus was in a collision with an SUV in Bodden Town.
A police spokesman said no one was injured in the crash, but that the SUV suffered major damage.
Paramedics attended the scene, but the students aboard the bus – from the Cayman Islands Further Education Centre (CIFEC) and dual-entry high school students studying at UCCI – did not require treatment, police said.
Education officials said alternative transport arrangements were made to get the students home.
The crash happened on Anton Bodden Drive in Bodden Town at about 3:30pm.
The drivers of both vehicles were given breath tests, a routine procedure at such incidents, and both were negative.
Police said the road was partly closed after the crash, but later reopened.
