Horizons High gets new keyboard

New Horizons High School is the recipient of a brand new Yamaha keyboard and books, thanks to major corporate sponsors Digicel Group and Butterfield Bank.

Representatives Katherine Roffey of Butterfield Bank and Crystal Gomez of the Digicel Group presented the gifts to students at the school.

The donation of books will form part of classroom libraries and will also be used in the schools’ literacy initiative, ‘Drop Everything and Read’.

This initiative which takes place twice per week, during the morning session, involves parents and members of the community coming into the school and reading to and with students.

Anyone who likes to read and wish to share with children is welcomed.
