I write this letter in regards toward the safety of myself, my crew and all other professionals who work on the side of the road.
We endure speeders, drunks, people passing in our work zones and irate drivers that have to be stopped or diverted for our safety and theirs.
Lately we have seen a huge increase in the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service’s presence on the road catching violators (great job officers).
My suggestion is to make it illegal to pass in work zones and double the fine when caught speeding in these zones. We don’t speed in your office, please don’t speed in ours.
