Police appeal for hit-and-run witnesses

Police have received new information about last Wednesday’s hit-and-run incident which left a nine-year-old with minor injuries.

The incident occurred in Crewe Road at around 8pm when there was a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

Following appeals for information, police say they now believe the vehicle they are trying to trace was a new looking green Honda C-RV, with a brand new wheel on the back and driven by a young man.

The motorcycle, carrying a 46-year-old man and his son from George Town, was travelling south along Crewe Road towards Jose’s gas station when the collision took place and both riders fell from the bike.

The child sustained minor injuries to his right arm and right thigh. Both received hospital treatment.
