Cayman’s Run in the Dark on Nov. 16 raised nearly $4,000 for the Mark Pollock Trust, a charity devoted to finding a cure for paralysis and spinal cord injury.
Organizers said 134 runners/walkers participated, more than double the number that took part last year. They gave a special mention to the youngest participant, Chris Luijten, 12, “who finished the 5K with a smile.”
“This year was bigger and better than last year and we are hoping to be even bigger and better next year,” Hannah Foreman, one of the organizers, said in a press release. “The support and energy from the Cayman community is more than I had hoped for this year.”
She thanked fellow organizer Sarah Lewis and all of the sponsors who supported the effort.
