The Cayman Islands men’s under-20 national football team has been announced for the upcoming CONCACAF Men’s U20 World Cup Qualifiers.

The tournament is scheduled to kick off 6 Nov., in the Dominican Republic.

“There was a lot of talent to choose from,” Cayman Islands Football Association President Alfredo Whittaker is quoted as saying in a CIFA social media post. “This has been achieved through the hard work and efforts of our local clubs in their youth programmes over the years, as well as our national team coaching staff.”

The announcement comes one month after Cayman’s women’s U-20 team secured the top spot in its group and a spot in the 2022 CONCACAF championship.
