Police are requesting public assistance, as they try to locate 24-year-old Charles Leonard Walton III, who was last known to be living in Prospect.
Walton was previously sought by police in October, in connection with firearms-related offences.
He turned himself in at the Cayman Islands Detention Centre on Tuesday, 26 Oct., where he was arrested by the police.
Now, Walton is wanted by the police for firearms offences, as well as for breaching his bail conditions that were imposed by the court.
According to a police press release, Walton is “known to be aggressive and is believed to be armed and dangerous”.
People are advised not to approach Walton, but to call 911 if they encounter him, or to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
Police also appealed to Walton directly to turn himself in.
“The public is being reminded that according to the Police Act (2021 Revision), it is an offense to obstruct, mislead or act in such a way as to prevent the apprehension of a person who has committed an offense. If prosecuted under this section, you may be liable on conviction to a fine of $5000 or imprisonment for two years or both,” the release stated.
