Pet owners and their pooches turned out on Sunday, for the annual One Dog Jog fundraiser, the first for the year, for local charity One Dog At A Time.

Some 30 people, with four-legged family members in tow, walked, ran and trotted the 5km-route at Safe Haven Drive, West Bay.

ODAAT’s Caroline Johnson welcomed the turnout, saying that funds raised at the event will support the organisation’s efforts to rescue dogs and promote its spay and neutering campaign work.

She said last year they rescued 204 dogs in total and three already so far for 2022.

Johnson said ODAAT is outgrowing their existing premises and they are keen to talk to anyone who might have a suitable space for them to expand into.

She added that the ODAAT team is already looking ahead to their next events: Rum Tails and the Stingray City trip.
