Inhumane isolation treatment for children

I was very pleased to see in today’s Compass the publication of the many difficulties and hardships being experienced by residents and visitors alike, all as a result of quarantine and isolation rules being poorly overseen by Travel Cayman and which are in urgent need of review.

Our son and his young boys (very active and of primary school age) contracted Covid-19 at the end of their vacation in the US. After isolation there for fourteen days (and at much expense) they tested negative and flew back to Cayman. Our son is double vaccinated, has also had the booster, has just recovered from the virus as have his sons.

Despite this, they are all required to quarantine for fourteen days. Surely exceptions should be possible to the inhumane fourteen day quarantine rule for unvaccinated children or adults who are vaccinated and have recovered from Covid-19.
