New Cayman music company, Ironshore Group, has announced the launch of two record labels, Ironshore Records and Everheart Records, dedicated to giving the Cayman Islands a presence in the world music industry.
The goal is to provide a platform for local talent to connect their music to a global audience.
Jake Olde (stage name Jake Oni), Caymanian music artist and founder of the Ironshore Group, said the record labels were conceived to expand the reach of Cayman-based independent musicians and help emerging talent earn fair representation.
“Our goal is to showcase the incredible and diverse talent the Cayman Islands has to offer, working to help [them] reach their potential in the business and getting their work into the hands of the people who matter most – music fans,” he said.
Based in the Cayman Islands, Ironshore Group is a music company specialising in providing artists with integral support and mentoring, covering all facets of the music business including artist management and development, touring, music production and distribution.
“Ironshore and Everheart are going to be forces to be reckoned with, focused on fair and sustainable deals that empower artists as well as producing great music,” Olde said.
Nathan Mclean, chief operating officer of Ironshore Group, said the company believed the Cayman Islands had an opportunity to turn itself into a location for international music production.

“In the same way that over the past couple of years Cayman has become a destination for international film production, we believe [it] has the potential to become a music capital that can fully realise the cultural, economic, and social benefits of a robust music industry,” Mclean said.
“The development of Cayman’s arts and creative industries has the potential to foster jobs for Caymanians, and can build skills and expertise in one of the fastest-growing global industries.”
The two record labels each focus on promoting and supporting specific genres of music.
Ironshore Records is dedicated to elevating heavy music artists. Earlier this year, the label released singles from ambassador acts Oni, a Cayman band front-manned by Jake Oni, and Alphamega, a hard rock trio from Los Angeles, California. Well-received singles have included Oni’s ‘Secrets’, featuring punk rock legend Iggy Pop, and Alphamega’s ‘No Longer Broken’.
In late May, Oni released a new track ‘Heart to Stone’, taken from their studio album, ‘Loathing Light’, which was released 17 June.
“’Heart to Stone’ shows a different side of me and is a song that really set me in a new direction,” Olde said. “I love being able to straddle the line of heavy and clean vocals. This is one I can’t wait to sing live.”
Everheart Records will showcase a more eclectic roster of artists. The label will launch with its first signings later this year and is set to include acclaimed Caymanian acts.
In addition to the labels, Ironshore Group has a state-of-the-art, world-class recording studio in Grand Cayman that is designed to be a destination for both local and international artists.
“Our goal is to build a new community of artists that will push the boundaries of their respective genres to reach new audiences globally,” Mclean said.
“Ironshore Group looks forward to opening new pathways for Cayman’s performing artists.”
