
Halloween may officially fall on Monday, 31 Oct., but many bars and clubs are taking advantage of the fact that it is weekend-adjacent, and therefore have spooky surprises for all, starting on Friday night.
Here are some of the events on the calendar to enjoy:
Friday, 28 Oct.
Home Gas Nightmare on the Waterfront
Opposite Sandbar in George Town @ 6-9:30pm
This is running for multiple nights (Friday, Saturday, closed Sunday), finishing on Monday, 31 Oct. (6-8:30pm). Are you ready to enter the realm of horror? Home Gas presents the most harrowing haunted house ever found in Cayman, with Nightmare on the Waterfront. Family hour is 6-7pm when the terror is toned down. Ticket proceeds to be donated to charity.
$10 for 6 years and over, $5 for under 6. Tickets at the door.
Sugardaddi Halloween/Twisted Circus at Sandbar

Dress up, drink up, rock up!

Frightfest Strand Block Party
Strand Entertainment Complex @ 8pm-4am
Unleash your favorite Marvel character costume. One entrance fee gets you into all three parties. Music by Sound Revolution, DJ Ryan, DJ B Stylz, DJ BLSD from NXTGEN, DJ Glenroy, DJ Raskal and DJ Joshie Vybz and Kiing Nando. Prize for the best overall costume.

Muertos (Day of the Dead)
Agave: Urban Agaveria @ 7pm-2am
Be transported to the streets of Oaxaca Mexico while you sip on perfectly blended cocktails and dance amongst the marigolds in a space that will be completely transformed to a night of passion and celebration. Get your costumes ready, ladies. Become La Catrina and dress to impress for a chance to win a free airline ticket to Miami. Face painting available onsite.

Blackout
Seven Mile Lounge @ 10pm-late
Featuring DJ Craig, DJ Lano and DJ Fidzen. Cash and prizes for best costumes.

Halloween at Camana Bay

From a frightful flick under the stars to trick-or-treating around town, this year’s Halloween entertainment promises to be extra spooky at Camana Bay. Will it be a trick or a treat? Find out from 4:30-6:30 p.m. when you visit those shops that have a monster sign displayed. Then, head over to the Crescent for an ever-loved Moonlight & Movies, Halloween edition, at 6:30 p.m. This free, family-friendly movie experience will feature a showing of ‘Monsters University’. Costumes are encouraged!

Boos and Booze
Vine and Tap @ 7pm-midnight
Get your costume ready for Halloween cocktails, music and fun. A live band performs from 8-10pm, followed by DJ Mat Banx closing out the night. Come early for Happy Hour from 4-7pm.

Hocus Pocus Glazing Night
3 Girls and a Kiln @ 6-8pm
Join in for a night of all things ‘Hocus Pocus’. Themed dress is highly recommended. Best of luck finding that dead man’s toe, lighting that black flamed candle, getting ready to glaze ‘amok amok amok’ and you are in luck! Grab your broom, get your cauldron… and get glazing.

Jack & Sally Couples Acrylic Painting
Art Nest Creative Studio @ 3-5:30pm
Come with a friend, partner or family member and paint two canvases that make one complete painting (diptych) when put together. The 2.5-hour session includes step-by-step instructions, small plates, art materials, aprons and supplies.

Trick-or-Treat night!
Some key tips to remember:
- Don’t wear dark costumes down dark streets without reflective tape or lights to carry
- Be wary of vehicles speeding along lanes in neighbourhoods
- Choose a designated driver or get a taxi if you’re a grown-up ghoul going out
- Drink plenty of water before you go to bed, or risk hangover horror
