A 46-year-old George Town woman has been arrested for a 28 Jan. incident on Cayman Brac in which a man was stabbed in the chest.
Police, in a press release issued Thursday afternoon, said just after 6pm on Tuesday officers arrested the woman at her home address in George Town on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
The woman, police said, has been bailed with strict conditions, pending further investigation.
The incident in question happened shortly before 12pm on Saturday, 27 Jan., police said.
Officers in Cayman Brac had responded to a report that a man had attended Faith Hospital with a stab wound to the chest.
Following inquiries, officers there determined that the man had been stabbed earlier that morning during an altercation at a bar on Watering Place Road.
The man underwent surgery for his injury.
According to police, the man remains in hospital but is doing well, and expected to be discharged soon.
