After observing “suspicious activity” on School Road on Friday, 19 April, police arrested three George Town men on drug charges.

According to a Royal Cayman Islands Police Service press release issued Wednesday, the officers first saw the three men – ages 37, 40 and 47 – near a business complex and, upon approaching, “detected the strong scent of ganja.”

They then searched the men, their vehicles and the surrounding area, recovering what they suspected was ganja “from several locations where the three men had been observed previously”.

“The officers also recovered small packages containing suspected cocaine, along with over $10,000 in cash made up of CI and USD on the men and in their vehicles,” the release said.

Officers also searched the men’s residences, uncovering an unspecified amount of cash, drug paraphernalia and “other illegal items”.
