A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in Cayman’s capital.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said they arrested a man after a store on Main Street, George Town, was broken into in the early hours of Tuesday morning and cash and a hair clipper were stolen.
The man used a concrete block to smash through the door of the business just before 2am and escaped on foot with his haul.
But police identified him through CCTV camera footage from the area, and he was arrested later that day.
Police have also linked the man to two other reports of burglary in the same area, and he is being investigated in connection with other break-ins. Officers have appealed for witnesses.
