Cayman kids who need an ear for their troubles have a new place to go.

The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre is running a public awareness campaign during this year’s World Cup period to promote its shelter for women, men and children who suffer domestic abuse.

Feast and celebrate like a god on Sept. 16 at the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre’s Opa! My Big Fat Greek Gala fundraising dinner and auction at Ristorante Pappagallo. This event’s theme looks to Ancient Greece for inspiration and will feature food, cocktails, dancing and entertainment inspired by glorious Greek culture.

The Jamaican Consulate shared money from its Aug. 6 Independence Day celebration with the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre.
