The annual Geology Education Week once again offered Cayman's students an opportunity to learn about the science of local rocks and related topics, with Professor Brian Jones leading the presentations.

For the last 40 years, world-renowned geologist Brian Jones has been conducting research, mapping and sampling sediment cores in and around Cayman. These days, he’s searching for more students interested in the field of geology.

A world-renowned geologist from Canada is bringing his expertise to Cayman this month as part of a special education week.

Students and teachers learned about the rocks, coral reefs and plate tectonics of the  Cayman Islands at the recently concluded Geology Week.

The Water Authority – Cayman is inviting the public to submit photographs of their favorite geological sites in the Cayman Islands as part of Geology Education Week, Oct. 16-20.
