More than a month before McKeeva Bush's indecent assault trial began, a judge at a pre-trial hearing rejected efforts by his defence team to get the court to order a search for correspondence they felt would show a conspiracy theory involving a former police commissioner and governor.

Senior Immigration Officer Garfield (Gary) Wong was scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday in relation to his convictions last month for careless driving and leaving the scene of the accident in the early hours of Dec. 27, 2013, after his truck was in a collision with a car on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Hibiscus Gardens.

Evidence in the trial of senior immigration officer Garfield (Gary) Wong concluded on Tuesday, with closing speeches scheduled for May 23.

A 7-year-old boy sent home from school for misbehaving was reported to police the next day as being the victim of an assault by the relative who had picked him up. The relative, a sister of the boy’s mother, appeared in Summary Court for sentencing this week before Magistrate Angelyn Hernandez.
