Powerful tidal surges and unusually rough seas pounded Cayman’s coastline over the weekend, disrupting marine activity and creating dramatic scenes, as Cayman feels the effects of its fourth cold front of the year.

The National Weather Service has issued a marine warning starting Monday for the Cayman Islands as a "strong" cold front approaches the area bringing with it rough seas.

According to forecasts from the Cayman Islands National Weather Service, strong winds and rough seas are expected to continue in Cayman for the next few days.

A marine warning is in effect Saturday and all small craft should remain in safe harbour, according to the National Weather Service. 

A marine warning remains in effect for the Cayman Islands as seas with wave heights of up to 8 feet impact the islands.
