For the second time this year, Wayne Panton has asked government through parliamentary questions for an update on the Sexual Harassment Bill he piloted when he was premier.

Despite the fanfare accompanying the debut of the long-awaited Anti-Sexual Harassment Bill last year, and two rounds of consultation, Cayman remains without any formal legislation.  

Cayman's long awaited legislation addressing the issue of sexual harassment looks unlikely to be debated at the end of this year as officials confirm that the report coming out of the public consultations has yet to go through caucus and Cabinet for approval.

The government has postponed a public meeting to discuss the Sexual Harassment Bill scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, 22 Aug., in North Side.

The second round of public consultations on the long-awaited draft Sexual Harassment Bill began on Tuesday, 15 Aug. with a town hall meeting at George Town Public Library.
