The People’s Progressive Movement’s Bodden Town candidates, Osbourne Bodden, Charles Clifford and Anthony Eden have partnered with sponsors and contractors to commence the repairing of damaged homes and to assist with the clean up efforts in Bodden Town.
‘The challenge for us was in deciding where to start as there are so many people who are in need of this assistance,’ said Mr. Eden. ‘But we knew that we had to start somewhere in order to make progress and our goal is to help as many people as possible,’ states a press release
‘We are grateful to the Scott brothers, Arney, Anthony, Stanley and Burns for donating free labour from their construction company for these projects,’ said Mr. Bodden. ‘Because the labour is free we are only able to utilize it on weekends but we will be making steady progress from this point forward.’
Mr. Clifford concluded, saying ‘The Scott brothers have shown that they are exemplary corporate citizens and have set the example for other contractors and business people to emulate. This is the second house that we’ve worked on under our programme, but we still require more donations of free labour and money for material so that we can speed up the recovery process by assisting more people over a shorter period of time.’
Anyone wishing to offer their assistance, sponsorship or equipment for the rebuilding and clean up efforts can contact Mr. Bodden on 916 4439; Mr. Clifford on 925 5693; or Mr. Eden on 916 2038.
