Christian youths empowered to serve

mPowered, a joint ministry of the Wesleyan Holiness Church youth department and Wesleyan Christian Academy, spent the day repairing the home of Ersie Bush in West Bay recently.

Old ceilings ruined by Ivan were torn down and new ones were put up. Also, the zinc roof, which had been damaged was repaired.

mPowered is an outreach ministry that exists to train young people to be servant-leaders.

Its aim is to give young people opportunity to show the love of Christ in tangible ways.

‘Our desire is that young people realize that ministry is much more than what happens on Sunday mornings,’ said Brian Wells, youth pastor of the Wesleyan Holiness Church. ‘The effectiveness of any church hinges on the love of Christ that is shown during the week.’

More mPowered items are being planned for the near future. Anyone interested in supporting the ministry can contact Wesleyan Christian Academy at 949-1121.
