On Wednesday, 12 October, at 10.26pm the 911 Emergency call centre received a report of a male stabbed at a home in Randyke Gardens, George Town.
It is suspected that the suspect entered the victim’s home through a window and proceeded to attack him with a machete. The suspect was wearing a mask and dressed in long dark pants at the time of the incident.
The 36 year old male victim was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital with multiple stab wounds and a laceration to the side of the face. The victim has been reported to be in a stable condition at this time. The Criminal Investigation Department at George Town Police Station is investigating the incident.
Boating accident
Police and Paramedics responded to a boating accident at 10.51am Wednesday.
The accident happened when a boat named ‘Nautilus’ and a boat named ‘Aqua Boat’ collided at the George Town harbour. As a result a man was injured.
He was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital complaining of neck and shoulder injuries. The Marine unit will be investigating the accident.
Rape
The Criminal Investigation Department at George Town Police Station is investigating a report of Rape that took place Wednesday at 02.40am
The 22-year-old female victim raised the alarm to a passer by who called the 911 Emergency Communication Centre. The incident took place at Smith Cove, South Church Street shortly before the report was made.
Four males are believed to have been involved in the rape. One Caymanian and three Jamaicans have been arrested on suspicion of rape and are in custody at this time. One of the males involved in the offence is believed to have had a firearm at the time.

Arrest
On Wednesday at 9.10am a man was arrested on suspicion of Disorderly Conduct by police on Cayman Brac. Uniformed officers on the Brac will be dealing with the matter.
