Cayman Free Press has cancelled its planned celebrations on Little Cayman and Cayman Brac this weekend.
CFP was taking its 40th anniversary celebrations to Little Cayman this evening and to the Brac tomorrow.
The cancellation is due to adverse weather from the after effects of Hurricane Wilma.
‘Although the storm has bypassed Grand Cayman, we are still feeling high winds and rain. We thought it would be in the best interest of our staff who would be travelling and those who would turn out to help us celebrate to postpone the events and reschedule them when we have favourable weather,’ said Tammie C. Chisholm, Cayman Free Press Editor.
CFP will announce the new date for the celebrations with the Sister Islands.
