Kirk Office Equipment employees and friends recently showed off their car-washing skills to raise money for Kaitland Davis, the 11-month-old girl who needs surgery to uncover her eyes.
The charity event, held Saturday, 12 November, raised CI$1,076 to help defray medical costs as well as airfare and accommodation in Miami for Kaitland and her mother, Charmaine Walker-Davis.
Kirk Office also donated 5 per cent of sales for Saturday which amounted to about CI$450.
Little Kaitland is in Miami now where doctors are assessing her to see if she is a suitable candidate for surgery.
In addition, Rotary Club members collected CI$1,100 to help Kaitland and the George Town Fire Department has given CI$815, according to Tishanna Higgins, who has been organising fundraising efforts.
One family, whose brothers work at Kirk Office, also wanted to help, and donated CI$300.
Anyone interested in donating money can still do so through Butterfield Bank CI$ account 02201-37239, under the name Kaitland Davis Fund. For more information, contact Tishanna Higgins at 329-7776.
