Goodness, love shine through

Despite the hatred, evil and crime in our world today, there are so many people remaining who demonstrate genuine love and compassion when the need arises.

The overwhelming display of kindness shown to our family during the time of our greatest need of support has truly been manifested by thousands of family members and friends from here and abroad.

This has been shown by the numerous cards, phone calls, floral arrangements, letters, visits, food, e-mails and other acts of kindness.

The death of our devoted and beloved husband, father and grandfather, Norberg K. Thompson Sr., O.B.E., has brought us closer to family and friends by the outpouring of love, sympathy and kind words.

We want to give our sincere thanks to the Governor Mr. Stuart Jack and other former governor’s and their wives of the Cayman Islands, Mr. Kurt Tibbetts on behalf of the Cayman Islands Government and its officials, The Leader of the Opposition Mr. McKeeva Bush and his members, Commissioner of Police Mr. Stuart Kernohan and his staff, the staff of the Cayman Islands Hospital, Dr. Steve Tomlinson, Dr. Clarence Charles, the Bodden Funeral Home, WestStar TV, the Caymanian Compass, Cayman Net News, the many radio stations, the pastors and congregations of all denominations on the Islands, the many boards and committees, banks and businesses as well as the numerous citizens of the Cayman Islands and overseas.

Many thanks to all our former and present employees including our faithful staff at our residence, Elmer Guron, Erwin Guron, Derrick Arthurs and Cora Tiong,

To everyone who has prayed for us and expressed compassion, kindness and love will forever remain in our hearts.

We sincerely thank you and pray God’s richest blessings on you and your family.

Mary Thompson and family
