DoT thanks CAL for 38 years

Cayman Airways’ birthday provided the perfect opportunity for the Department of Tourism to thank CAL staff for consistently delivering great service over the last 38 years, and to emphasize its continuing commitment to the national flag carrier.

In what has become an annual tradition, DoT provided lunch on Cayman Airways’ actual anniversary – August 7 – for front-line staff on all three islands, says a DoT press release.

‘The continued strengthening of the relationship between Cayman Airways and the Department of Tourism is critical to achieving our goals of increasing visitor arrivals in the coming years. I personally am delighted with the teamwork, commitment and resulting successes that this partnership has generated,’ said Minister of Tourism Charles Clifford.

CAL staff at the city ticket office and airport in Grand Cayman were catered to by Welly’s Cool Spot, while Cayman Brac staff enjoyed lunch from Aunt Sha’s, and Little Cayman employees were able to take time out at the Hungry Iguana. In addition to lunch, CAL employees got a DoT souvenir to take home.
