Margaritaville opens its doors

After 13 months of construction, Margaritaville has finally opened its doors and is already rammed full with visitors.

The Jimmy Buffet themed restaurant, entertainment and merchandise chain covers some 15,000 square feet in the Anchorage Centre, George Town.

Arthur Screaton, general manager of Margaritaville said he is delighted.

‘Everything is going great. Visitor numbers are beyond our expectations.’

The venue offers three bars; one in the restaurant, one in the nightclub and a pool bar. Highlights include a hot tub, 24 televisions throughout the restaurant, a retail shop and a waterslide which is still under construction.

The restaurant serves up Margaritaville favourites, such as the Cheeseburger in Paradise, alongside local cuisine, including jerk chicken, marinated conch and fish Cayman style.

A grand-opening is planned; a date is yet to be confirmed.
