Proceeds to help rebuild Grace Christian Academy
On Friday, 20 October Ristorante Pappagllo will be bursting with fabulous prizes and auction items as the Grace Christian Academy PTA hosts its first Gala Event.
Funds raised from the evening will go to its capital campaign building fund as the school continues to rebuild after Hurricane Ivan.
GCA remained closed the year following Ivan, reopening its main campus in September 2005.
This year, the construction of the second block of the campus is nearing completion, and the community has been working tirelessly to raise the much-needed funds, said a GCA press release.
More than 150 businesses and families from across the Island have generously donated items to be raffled and auctioned, many of the items valuing well over CI$500.
Items being offered include romantic getaways, spa treatments, dining certificates, jewelry, a kayak, a BBQ, bicycle, BCD’s, Game boys with games, and much more. There will be a balloon auction, a silent auction and a live auction, featuring comedian and MC Andrew Bacon.
Vico and the team at Pappagallo have created a special menu for the evening, starting with a champagne reception at 6:30pm.
