Congratulations are in order for the nine firefighters who have been upgraded in rank following the completion of requirements.

Ronnie Dixon is now a divisional officer, who assists the senior divisional officer in managing the domestic section. Additionally, Wayne Ebanks has moved up to station officer, in charge of the domestic shift.
‘I’m glad to see officers constantly moving up the ranks,’ Acting Chief Fire Officer Roy Grant said in a press release.
‘It shows the potential we have in this Fire Service and I hope others follow the example they set in their achievements.’
Others promoted include John Bodden, Norman Joseph and James Dixon, who have joined the ranks of sub officers in charge of shifts in sub stations or responsible for assisting the station officers at central station.
Promoted to the role of leading fire officer are Pernell Bodden, James Bodden, Brevon Elliott and Carson McField.
Commenting for the group, Mr. Elliott said: ‘We have now successfully taken the first step upward within the Fire Service, and I speak for all of us when I say that we are determined to maintain the effort to keep moving up the ladder.’
As leading fire officers, they assist the sub officers in running the shifts.
Reflecting the faith in his officers’ continued success, Acting Chief Fire Officer Grant said: ‘I wish them the best of luck in their new positions – they have already proven they can effectively and efficiently apply themselves to their work.’
