Members of the public and of Cayman’s clergy joined Parliamentarians in the Legislative Assembly Thursday afternoon to pray for the welfare of the country and the government, during the 14th annual National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
Organised by the Cayman Ministers Association, attendees included Governor Stuart Jack, Leader of Government Business Kurt Tibbetts; Speaker of the House Edna Moyle; Leader of the Opposition McKeeva Bush; and the other Cabinet ministers; official Cabinet members; and members of the Legislative Assembly who attended Thursday’s sitting.
The Wesleyan Christian Academy School Band provided musical accompaniment for the hymn and songs.
Reverends Al Ebanks; Donovan Myers; John Jefferson; Winston Rose; Nicholas Sykes; Alson Ebanks; Anthony Gager; and Stanwyck Myles led the gathering in prayer for Her Majesty the Queen; government and government officials; the Immigration Department; the legal system and uniform services; the family; the church; thanksgiving and commitment.
Rev. Yvette Noble Bloomfield offered closing remarks to the programme, which also included scripture reading.
