The RCIPS is appealing for a woman who assisted an injured man in West Bay a couple of weeks ago to come forward as she could assist greatly with an investigation.
In the very early hours of Wednesday, 22 November, a woman stopped to assist a man on Reverend Blackman Road who appeared to have an injured leg. She drove the man to hospital where he received treatment for a gun shot wound.
The 21-year-old victim has told detectives he was cycling along Reverend Blackman Road, heading toward Town Hall Road at around 1am, when he felt a sting on his leg.
He did not see or hear where the shot may have come from. He turned, to make his way to West Bay Police Station, when he flagged down a white, Toyota Corolla exiting Stadium Road. The unidentified woman then drove the man to hospital and departed prior to police arriving.
Detectives would very much like to speak to this woman and ask her to contact West Bay CID on 949-3990 or 949-3999.
