Chamber focuses on environment

The environment will be the main focus of this month’s Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at the Wharf Restaurant on Wednesday.

The Minister of Tourism, Environment, Investment and Commerce Charles Clifford is the keynote speaker.

The Minister will provide an overview of his Ministry’s environmental policy framework including updates on key legislation, the establishment of a sustainable development section in the Department of Environment and policies and initiatives under way to promote more sustainable practices in tourism.

Chamber of Commerce President Angelyn Hernandez will be introducing the Chamber’s Environmental Pledge. Businesses and individuals will be encouraged to sign a pledge that commits them to preserving the environment both at work and at home.
