Due to reports reaching the Association that the Registration Forms for the 21st CUC National Junior Championships/Carifta Trials may not have reached all the Schools in Grand Cayman The Cayman Islands Athletic Association wishes to announce that the deadline for the return of these Forms has been extended to 6:00pm on Friday 9th March 2007.
The Forms will be delivered to all Primary, Middle and High Schools by Monday 5th March 2007 or can be had from Coaches Williams, Yen, Wason and Harper or from Officials of the various Track Clubs on the Island.
The Meet is staged for youngsters whose age, on the 31st December 2007, place them in the following categories: 5 & Under; 6-8; 9-11; 12-14; 15-17; and 18-19 and depending on the age group in which the competitor falls will provide for competition in the following events: Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, Cricket Ball Throw, Javelin, Discus, Shot Put, 80m, 100m, 150m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and 3000m.
The Meet will be held over two days on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th March 2007 with a scheduled start time of 3:00pm.
The Meet will provide the final opportunity for all Athletes wishing to represent the country in this year’s Carifta Games to be staged in the Turks & Cacois Islands.
There will be no further extension of the Registration after this deadline and no one will be permitted to register on the day of the meet or after the passing of the deadline.
