West Bay class act continues in the MONEY EXPRESS Division 2 with an emphatic victory over Team DTA. Ugal Sicard rode his form scoring 110 runs which included 11 fours and 3 sixes as West Bay scored a massive 223 for 7. Team DTA could not stand up to the challenge with Sydney Moore making early inroads capturing 4 wickets and reducing them to 102 fro 9.
The class at of 2006 Welly’s ICC give another side to the story as form deserted them against major up setters Greenies Too. Riding on an excellent opening partnership of 110 runs between Garrard Christian 55 and Daniel Greaves 46, Welly’s ICC lost their way as all 10 wickets fell in scoring 54 runs. More action was to follow when Greenies Too were reduced to 88 runs for 7 wickets. A stubborn 8 wicket partnership of 77 runs between Richard Thomas and David Rajaratnan brought back Greenies Too within striking distance. Veteran player Ivan Burges secured victory by leaving alone the last ball giving Greenies Too the win by 1 wicket.
MONEY EXPRESS Division 1 were the big boys proved Class is permanent as Police defeated Greenies 1 with an all round contributions from Ramon Sealy, Pearson Best, Abali Hoilett, Dwight Rivers and Kevon Bazil. Not to be out done, Alessandro Morris took 4 wickets as Police unbeaten run continues.
Esso turned the tables on Paramount in round 2 taking victory by 3 wickets. Opening for the first time this season, Tony Higgins scored 68 runs n.o. and guided Esso to victory.
