The Education Council of the Cayman Islands is inviting students to apply for the Paul F. Fenton Award scholarship.
Offered by Cayman based investment management firm, Overseas Asset Management, the award is worth C$20,000 annually. The grant covers the cost for the recipient to attend Bishop’s University in Canada including tuition, books, residence, a meal plan and compulsory fees.
The deadline for international students to apply to Bishop’s University for the university year beginning in September 2007 is 1 July.
Eligible candidates must demonstrate academic standing in keeping with the regulations established by the Bishop’s University Admissions Policy Committee.
Applicants require a letter of acceptance from the University before applying to receive the Paul Fenton reward. Applications to the University may be submitted online at www.ubishops.ca/awards/. Separate application forms for funding are then available from the Education Council or the Ministry of Education, either by email request to [email protected], or from the Ministry website, www.brighterfutures.gov.ky.
The Ministry may also be contacted by telephone at 244 2417. Applications to the Ministry should be accompanied by a letter of acceptance from the University, and must be submitted by the deadline to the email address above, or by mail to: Ministry of Education, Training, Employment, Youth, Sports & Culture, c/o Government Administration Building, Grand Cayman, KY1-9000, Cayman Islands.
Selection of candidates will be made by the Bishop’s University Awards for Peer Excellence Committee in consultation with the Ministry.
