The Travelling Caribbean Showcase, which was to have run from Friday 18 to 31 August, has been cancelled until further notice due to Hurricane Dean.
According to the Director of Marketing and Public Education at the Cayman National Cultural Foundation, Charles Glidden, the film festival will be rescheduled once CNCF has a chance to assess the situation given its September scheduling of Rundown and other commitments. ‘We hope to run the festival in its entirety,’ he said.
The 15 day festival was to have shown over 30 features and documentaries from around the region at the F. J. Harquail Centre.
Films from Caymanian directors such as Frank E. Flowers Jnr and Tim Kelly were also to have been screened.
