Jamaican golfers were perplexed by the number of prizes Caymanians took away with them at the annual Caymanas Golf Club charity event over the weekend.
The eight members of Team Cayman won six of the prizes at the event in Kingston. There were 104 entrants in the competition and their prizes included microwaves and other electrical appliances and a weekend stay at a Sandals resort. They also enjoyed a round of golf on the other Kingston course at Constant Springs Golf Club.
But it wasn’t all jubilation for the Cayman crew, mostly Englishmen. They flew the England flag at half mast following the loss to South Africa in the rugby World Cup in France on Saturday. At least they had the 19th hole to drown their sorrows.
