Eyewitnesses said the car and truck collided head on.

The road was closed to traffic in both directions from the Butterfield Roundabout and the Lawrence Boulevard Roundabout.
The accident was under investigation at press time, but it was confirmed there was a fatality and two people, including a child, were taken to hospital.
