Armed robbers tied up and assaulted a clerk at the Beach Club Hotel and Dive Resort in the pre-dawn hours Friday, taking some money before fleeing the scene.
Police said the night auditor at the hotel called 911 around 3.40am Friday to report he’d been robbed by three men.
The man told officers that one of the three suspects had a gun. They allegedly forced the clerk to the floor, kicked him, and tied him up before robbing the hotel office.
The victim was hospitalised after the attack, but is expected to recover. He could not identify his attackers because he said their faces were covered.
It’s believed the three left the building on the land side of the hotel, heading toward the Buckingham Square shopping centre and the Esterley Tibbetts Highway.
