Rotary health fair set

The Rotary Sunrise Grand Cayman Club will be staging its third-annual Health Fair at the Family Life Centre on Saturday, 15 March from 10am to 2pm.

The aim of the event is to promote healthy lifestyles, particularly among young people, says a press release.

The fair will feature a number of free health checks along with interactive presentations by such groups as the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.

Other organisations that will be on hand include the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, the Cayman Islands Red Cross, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Neighbourhood Department and the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman’s Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau programme.

In addition, various sporting organisations will stage demonstrations and involve children in a number of drills.

Tia Banana is among the special guests.

Rotary is inviting organizations interested in being a part of the health fair to contact event organizers Christine Sanders at 949-7618 or Claire Lloyd Vine at 938-4858.
