Police have made a quick arrest in connection with the shooting of a local man outside a George Town home on 31 May.
A 20-year-old man from George Town is now in custody on suspicion of attempted murder. He has not been formally charged with any crime.
A 29-year-old man was wounded after shots were apparently fired from a car on School Road near Eastern Avenue in the early morning hours of that Saturday.
Bullets struck the victim in his hand and arm. He was taken to hospital where he was treated and released over the previous weekend.
Armed police were sent to the scene of the shooting shortly after it was reported but the suspect was not immediately located.
